Fernando Tatis is going to sit out a couple of days because of a sore knee that has flared up. He will take some anti-inflammatory medication and hope that and rest will do the trick, according to David Lennon of Newsday.
Nick Evans expects to be out for a week because of a strained right forearm muscle. He said he can hit but he can't throw right now. Evans chances of making this team were very minimal, now missing some time there is virtually no chance that he will be with the big club.
The good news about how Minaya put this team together this year is that we have great depth with guys like Frank Catalanotto and Mike Hessman being able to step in for Tatis and Evans.
