Jose Reyes 1-5 in Minor League Game

Jose Reyes played in a Minor League game today against the Memphis Cardinals and went 1-5 with a 2B over the CF's head. He played three innings in the field and only had one play which he bobbled into an error. The good news is that he was breaking well out of the box and looked to be running at full speed. He also did some running with the Mets trainers on another field to test his legs. In all the drills his acceleration and speed looked great with no ill effects of any health issues.

In one of his at bats he hit a hard ground down the line to the 1B who made a great play to just get Reyes at first. The good sign was the way Reyes got out of the box and ran at 100% to try and beat the grounder out.

After seeing him run today, I think there is a chance that we could see him on Opening Day. The Mets definitely should not rush him but if he is healthy he should be there on Opening Day.
